Last Friday’s playgroup at Jake’s house began innocently enough:

First, a little playing with cars and Jake’s activity cube thingy….

Next, a whole lot of Thomas….

Which was then capped off by a viewing of Blue’s Clues:

As soon as I went upstairs to offer Dana my opinion on whether she should keep the shoes she just purchased (yes), the channel got changed to Cinemax and the par-tay started:

Dude, are those real?

I don’t know about that, man, but I do know this sure as hell isn’t milk!

When I was down in Atlanta visiting my parents, my son took an immediate liking to their cat, Rhett. Rhett, however, was not exactly feeling my kid.

Poor Rhett spent our entire visit hiding out under one of the dining room chairs:

And my son spent the majority of the visit trying (unsuccessfully) to coax him out:

I’m trying to convince my husband that we need a cat of our own, but so far he’s not into the idea. Somewhere, a cat has been spared.

Um, does this even need a caption? Doubtful, but let me just say that this is the hottest hour on television. Vampires are seriously sexy (especially Eric), and on this show you get to see a lot of them--if you get what I mean. Put the kids to bed and flip the channel to HBO on Sundays at 9 p.m. to taste the fun that is True Blood.
